How important is it that the same monogram is carried throughout the wedding?

How important is it that the same monogram is carried throughout the wedding?

Here is my dilemma - I am planning on sending out my STD's in Feb. I want to have either a sticker on the back of the envelope with a monogram or work it into the return address labels.

I also want to use monograms on my menus, invites, runner, matchbooks and whatever else I wind up doing.

Since I do not know what I am doing for invites yet, I am afraid the monogram I choose now, won't go exactly with my invites later on....

Should I just pick a monogram now and use it for my STD's and then when I pick my invites use that monogram on everything else. Or is it ok if my invite monograms don't match all the other stuff.

Sorry for the long post. I hope it makes sense.

Thanks!

I think the theme of monograms is lovely and does not have to be the same font at all to be lovely and elegant.

I agree with Deb--as long as you carry the theme through, it doesn't necessarily have to be the same monogram.

I agree-- no one is lining up all the monograms and saying- can you believe they are all different?!

They'll be beautiful regardless of how many mograms you use.

i agree too.

i want to use some monograms for eng. party and save the dates...but maybe a variation since we are just engaged and by the wedding reception, etc. we will be married!

but this is the same issue i have with having an eng. party and using different colors, themes, etc.

i feel like i am the only one who will realize that (gasp) i did different things here and there!
