how important is the bride and groom photo session

How much time should we allot for this? Our hall really does not have grounds so we were thinking of going to the Old Westbury Gardens to take pics prior to the wedding. However this would require that we meet 2. 5 hours before the ceremony. I feel like this is much more of a hassle than I realized. For those of you taking pics prior to the wedding how you doing this minus the hassle? please any suggestions are appreciated!

It depends who will be photographed there. Just you two? Parents? etc.? Best to make up the shot list (what pictures you would want taken there) then check with your photographer. Every one is different. Some like to take virtually the same shot from several different angles and some want to pose you in a lot of different poses. OF course, this also depends upon the place. Best to bring your shot list to him or her and asked what they would think. Remember, the less people you have involved there the faster it will be. If you do want to include more... the less vehicles the better. In my experience, one car always gets lost, etc. and you are waiting for someone.

Lee and i are having our ceremony and reception at WCC, so we decided to miss our CH. its not really a big deal to us, and our photographer said we will probably only miss half. i didnt want to see him brefore the ceremony, but if that isnt an issue for you - you can end up i think saving a lot of time in ther long run!
