I went to my rh yesterday and had asked if they include vallet parking and he said no. They actually prefer no vallet parking. He could get us a company but they would charge in the thousands! He said that since we are the first party by an hour we will have all the parking right in front of the building and doors. Looking at it, its not that bad but I'm worried it won't go over too well with our guests.
Any opinions on this? We really don't wanna shell out that much money for parking of all things...

I have been to weddings with no valet parking & its definately not even missed- my fh hates letting the valet park his car- he is always afraid they will scratch it- i definately wouldnt pay to add it hth

Honestly, I kinda like having control over parking my car...that way I don't have to wait for my car to arrive, nor do I have to tip.

if theres parking around its ok, but if there is none then it can be a little difficult. Where would they be able to park by terrace on the park? there are no streets bc its in the middle of flushing meadow park. Oh wait i had my prom there, duh there is a big parking lot right there so it shouldnt be a problem for you, its right in front of the RH

I would agree! Ours includes it but I really don't think it's a huge deal...

It's totally not important. And besides, TOP has a huge parking light right in front of the place, it's not necessary to have valet there at all.

I think it depends on the size of the parking lot. If its small, then Valet is necessary.

as long as there will be enough parking for all the guests, i dont see a problem! if they had to park on the street or search for parking then i would say to hire a company

I think most people don't like to have their cars valeted
If there is parking around it is totally fine not to have it.
Our hall offers it but since we are having a small reception we told him that we will pass on it since there is plenty of street parking and a small lot in back. Now since he doesn't have to pay the kid to park cars we are hoping that he will throw something in to our package.

Good to hear that it won't be missed. I know fh gets alittle paranoid when we need to vallet park and I'm glad that he's among the majority. Ok, makes me feel better. And yeah, they do have a huge parking lot and they'll have those people directing traffic so I think we'll be fine

i'm not having valet parking. lol i feel bad but it would have been an extra cost.
and that money can go for something better.
besides when the wedding lets out there is always a line for the valet! you can avoid that problem!

We have to pay $125 per valet if we want to have it at our RH. I really don't think it matters but FH is insisting on it, so I think we'll get two valets... $250 isn't that bad.

To me it depends where the event is being held - if it's a place where parking would be limited during that time of day then yes I would want Valet parking but not at the cost of thousands of dollars.
For example if Russo's didn't give us valet parking I might have gotten a company to do it since Crossbay Blvd is a busy place and parking is VERY limited. If it wasn't so busy/limited parking then I wouldn't bother with the valet parking.
If they said that you were the first party of the day (and guaranteed they would not book an earlier party) I wouldn't bother getting the valet parking.

we dont have valet for r wedding either, I dont think anyone will miss it, plus no line to wait for when party is over
