Over here in the Bronx we just had lots of heavy rain. Its all stopped now. No power lost which was my only worry.

Not too bad out in Shirley - We lost half a tree lol It's in the road right now but we'll have to move it. It's really just a large part of the top branches so we should be able to move it. Otherwise just windy out here; hoping it slows down soon but it's sunny! :D

we never lost power here. I don't see any damage either. Worst thing that happened was puppy housebreaking got backtracked from the rain

Driving home from work this morning at 8am was no fun....but i made it.
Thank god no power outages at my house and no water in the basement!!!!

We're okay, too.
A big branch fell and broke our awning, but a neighbor's tree is leaning against their house so
There's just a TON of clean up to do.
FH's parents are in the Catskills and I heard that upstate and Vermont have DEVASTATING flooding going on right now and they're hardly getting any attention. I feel awful for them.

Well after I really long day like 24 hours plus the damage here is really bad driving home I saw a railroad track and the crossing broke off and there where trees down all over the place so crazy ... But I'm happy to be laying in my FH arms.... I have not seem him for over a week .. I missed him soooooo much

Figures-we lost power around 8 last night and we still don't have it back. FH was working during hurricane, came home last night and left again a half hour ago. I'm already bored!

Hi Ladies,
All is ok for use in East Meadow, we did not loose power and i am thankful we have no damage. The worse part was riding it out with out FH with me. I HATE that is a first responder sometimes. But he made it and so did we.
My drive to work this morning really showed me how bad Irene was though. A lot of down wires, trees, and cars damaged on my block. Its sad, and now my job only has power on the 2nd floor so the 2 floors below me are going to get to go home and the rest of us have work BOO!!
Stay safe ladies and i am glad you are all ok! Have we heard from everyone yet?

My friend in bellmore lost power. Her landlady called up and they said it could take 3-5 days to assess the damage and fix the power!! That sucks! Our power is still out so I'm making my friend take me to lunch. LOL. At least it's not super hot out anymore The part that stinks is tomorrow we planned to have my bday dinner at a local Asian restaurant and we invited back over here for drinks and dessert. I hope they don't mind margaritas in the moonlight if we don't get this power back!

Ton of clean up here. I was at work Saturday 7 am until Sunday at 11 pm. No fun there--power was out and was in patients room with flashlights because the generator only allows for one light in the room and that is NOT the overbed light for each patient.
It was terrible. But the house is good..just have to clean the yard and the car.
