Well we for one were unprepared. No batteries, no flashlights. We had some candles but it didn't help the fact to stay cool.
I hope everyone survived. How the heck did they do this in the olden days. We were so bored we actually had to talk to one another . LOL.

I'm ok now, FH and I had to meet up in the city and went to my parents in Queens. Had to evacuate my office building - 11 flights! Not too bad compared to others. Got home to Jersey City around 11, we do have power here, but now I am not sure what to do about work....

We're fine. I had to drive into the city at 11:00 last night to pick up my hubby. I didn't get home until 1 and now I have to get ready for work.

My husband will never complain about ALL my candles again!! It was a bit rough because of the heat. Our 2 year old took it very well. He had fun playing w/ the flashlight! We went to bed at 9:30
To funny that my hubby & I were BOTH worried about our wedding cake! But luckily EVERYTHING in the freeezer stayed frozen.

We had to eat dinner with my parents, and spent like 3 hours with them, it was torturous for my FH. I was able to start on the seating chart, even though everyone made fun of how anal I was, since I bought posterboard and put everyone's name on a post it note.
I was also able to get the ribbons tied on my RD invites and menus.
Michelle...i tried to call you on your cell phone, and it sounded like you answered and then were cut off from reception (unless you didn't want to talk to me)...glad that everything is OK...
