How is Pre Cana run???

I believe it is done diff. depending on your parish. I actually had precana yesterday. We attended mass at 1130, and then met with the director of music, where he gave us a cd of our music choices... then went into a room with the deacon and his wife, along with 9 other couples who are getting married within the next year. They served breakfast, and he talked to us about many things. He gave situations that took place in his marriage and how him and his wife handled things...they talked about how to deal with family issues.etc...the importance of having god in your life and your family etc...we did a few activities, we did personality quizes...we were given mock scenarios and asked how we would handle ex..both parents want you over for thanksgiving how do you handle??? etc.. We enjoyed it, I just wish there was more interaction between the couples... a fellow o6er was there, and I didn't get to talk to her much. (Debra 7/21) It was mostly listening to the Deacon, but I will say it was really nice and in most areas, I found it very helpful.

He also went through the rules of the church ex. no rose pedals :(....he walked us through the ceremony format, readings etc.


We ended around 4PM and that was it!!!
