I chose the whole thing wrapped rather than the stems exposed b/c they said it could have a chance of staining my dress.
I like the look of exposed stems better though.
1) whole stem covered
2) some stems exposed

Re: How is your bo-k wrapped? stems/no stems) POLL
I had all the bo-k's with stems exposed- also keep in mind I think if you totally wrap the stems the flowers won't last as long.

I really think this is a personal preference, as its split 50-50 on your poll
I prefer the entire thing wrapped just like first picture.

I like the stem showing but now that i think about it ... i am so clumsy as it is and I know I will forget to be careful with the stems near my dress.... I probably won't even risk it. I'll just have them wrap the entire thing.

I really like the stems showing, but I've also heard about leakage so I will likely have mine completely wrapped.
stems showing....my florist told me it depends what kind of flower you are having if the stems will leak--since peonies have woody steams, no leakage! :)

Christine, I have a great idea. I will give you a pair of my underwear to use as the fabric to wrap the bouquet in. This way, it can also be your something borrowed. Let me know which pair you want.
OK, I would like the pair in the 83rd b-pic you posted...uuurr, on 2nd thought, I want one of the new pairs you just got at marshalls
wasnt there a girl who all she had of her grandmas was a pair of underwear and she was wrapping her bo-k or making a hankee or maybe sewing it into her dress...
idk- it just made me think of that,,she was a frequent posted i think.
LMAO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so I like stems showing BUT I am scared I might get green on my dress?!?!
Also are we supposed to do the same for bridal party...if I wrap my stems half way, then we do their half way, etc.

It's true you do have to be careful with the exposed stems but after a while it dries out a bit so that you don't have to worry about it.

I had my stems exposed and had no problems, however I did notice some crap on my bridemaids' dress due to her exposed stems.
