So wondering about shower invites. Are you ladies inviting all the women invited to the wedding? Out of towners? Right now, that would make our list over 70 people! Advice please!

I am inviting only women. So its Aunts, friends, bridal party, MOB, FMIL's friends. Grandma, cousins. My list is 40 people.

We are inviting most women to the shower, but not girlfriends of our guy friends. (aka girls I'm not close to)
Our list is at about 70. I have nothing to do with the planning though so i have no idea when or where it will be!

My mom invited about 65-70 and I think 50 attended. We didn't invite all the women that were invited to the wedding, but the list obviously added up.

Ugh, I finally decided on this THIS MORNING. I would be over 100 if I invited all the women who are invited to the wedding! With my mom and MOH (my sister)'s advice, I ended up inviting all of my girlfriends, and my close family. That meant excluding a lot of FH's friend's wives/girlfriends, and both of our extended families. Even with all that, the list ended up near 50!

When my sister was in town, she brought her Mac Book and asked me for names and addresses, including OOTer's. The list would have been over 75, so I told her I just wanted the women in both our families and close friends. That will be around 35-40 people.
Ideally, I would love to have OOTer's there, especially FH's aunt in Orlando, but do people travel just for showers?

Invited 40, but 35 are comming. Only invited close friends/family from NY. No OOT.
