If I drop at the weight I need (and some) by the end of March
can my dress still be altered in time for April 9th?
My question is:
If I go to a private seamstress can my dress be fixed 2 weeks before the wedding, or is that unrealistically cutting it too close ?

my wedding is 3/26 and they said the first fitting is 5 weeks out (mid-late feb.) then a second about 3 weeks out and if I need a final its about a week before. How far off of a 10 are you?

it's definitely do-able ... especially with a private seamstress
ETA: but it is cutting it close ... you should speak with the seamstress herself to find out if she can fit you in for that sort of thing

i should be where i want to be by the end of february, but if I'm given another month i can get to where i should be by the end of march.
.... i guess i'll push for February and as long as the dress fits try not to lose anything extra...

You should be fine at the end of march... I believe they always do a final fitting about a week out just to give them enough time if they do need to make any other alterations..
