If you go to a store to register how long would you say you are there doing it? A bulk of Our items will be at end bath and beyond than just a few a macys?

For both stores or just one? Meaning 2 hours to register at both bbb and macys or 2 hrs at each store?

How long?
When I was 16 I worked at Bed Bath and Beyond. I would see people registering all the time so here is my break down of it....If it's a bride and groom they were always out relatively fast- if it's a bride and her mom- that always took a while because you'd always hear hear the mom go 'honey, do you really need that?' or 'that's so tacky- don't register for that' and if it was a bride and her friend they were always having fun and registered for everything (which would take a while).
Just my observations! lol

It took FH and I about 2 hours at Macy's. Our registry is pretty small but we have very different tastes so there was a lot of back and forth when it came to bedding dishes and towel colors haha

We were at BBB for 2 hours. They even let us stay past closing. My registry was literally 50 something items and that's it. It takes a while so give yourself some time.

I registered at BB&B online. I wonder if I missed out on something by not physically going into the store.

We were at BB&B for easily 2 hours. Maybe a little longer because we were indecisive about some things. I did Target online.

It look me about an hour. FH doesn't know anything about what we need in our house let alone how to use certain items so we just looked at big items he might want to see in person, like bedding, shower curtain, luggages, fine glassware and flatware. I did everything else online on my own.
