How long after..

Getting engaged did you have your engagement party?!

I'm thinking maybe January.. is that too late, or too early?

Help!

We got engaged in June and had our party in November, so a little more than 5 months. I think January would be a perfect time to have yours!

We got engaged on July 4th and our engagement party is the first weekend in October, so 3 months. Since your wedding date is over 3 years out though, I think January is totally fine. Congrats!!

Well me and FH are paying for the wedding ourselves cuz my parents are divorced and etc so we need some time to save up cuz its gunna be a 200+ wedding.

and I think January is good too. I just wanted everyones advice!

thats totally fine.....

I have been to eparties that are 2 months after the couple got engaged and have been to parties that are 9 months after they got engaged.....you also have time for your wedding so its not like they will be too close in time!

We got engaged end of May and having out e-party first week of November...so we are about 5 1/2 months after...don't think it's a problem at all!

We got engaged at the end of July last year and had our engagement party October 18th so almost 3 months later

We got engaged May 28th and had our engagement party August 15th. I think you can have it whenever you want - Jan is fine. Since you're not getting married for 3 years, you have plenty of time.

We got engaged December 20 and our e-party was February 15.

I would definitely wait on your e-party though since you're wedding is a few years away. Honestly, If you're getting married in 2012, I'd say do it mid-2010 or early 2011.

We got engaged the end of October and had ours the beginning of January.

It was very small...just really a meeting of the families since my parents live in Fl.

we waited 4 monthss... i think its more important to worry about how far apart your wedding and eparty are that they are not too close togetherr... i think if u have a long engagement, you can wait as long as you want... you have enough time to make it perfect
