How long after being off the pill are you supposed to wait

To have kids? My mom said that you are supposed to wait 2 periods. Anyone heard anything?

It is said to wait 3 months so your body can regulate itself.

I was on the pill for about 8-9 years straight. We wanted to TTC right after our wedding (6/25/06) so my last pill was July 1, and AF started July 4. I got PG in August and DS was born May 8!!

i went off the pill in nov of 06 and it took over 80 days to get my first period. then 45 days then 38 days then finally 28 days and now i just took a test and im prego

My doc said that I don't have to wait ...as soon as I start the pill I can start working on the baby making
