How long after purchasing something off a registry does it say it was purchased?

I just bought something from my friends registry at BB&B and then checked it and it hadn't been purchased according to the online list.

Does it just take a while, or should I call? I don't want anyone else to buy her what I got her.

it should come off right away. if it didnt come off, i would call them :)

I don't know about B&B, but I've bought stuff off of people's Fortunoff and Williams Sonoma registries. Usually something comes up that says it can take up to 24 hours for the item to be properly marked on the registry.

I think it should show up immediately. But sometimes their registry takes a few hours. I went & added some stuff in the store & when I came home to check online, only some of the things were added - the remaining items got added little by little after a couple of hours. But call if it's not on there tonight.
