How long after the bank appraised the house did you go for your closing...

we had it done on Saturday and we are excited to close now.

well, it took sometime afterwards.. maybe a month? it would have been sooner, if it wasn't for those damn sellers..

usually now all that you need to do is wait for your Mort. co to call you up and get any info from you that they need.. employ. verfiication, stuff like that..

All the info the mortgage company needs is done. Also do you know if the Real estate agents percentage is nogiatble (spelling). We are extremly unhappy with her. Before we signed the contracts she was calling everyday at least once a day to see if we got the contract if we signed it or when the inspection was gonna be done, now that we signed it when we have questions it takes a min of 2 days for her to get back to us. I just dont think it is fair that she hardly worked for us considering we knew what we wanted and we came extremly prepared when we went to go see her and I feel like she blows us off. Any suggestions!

We didn't sign anything with her, but she isn't the listing agent, does that matter. It was a multiple listing house that she found for us through her computer.

We had our appraisal done about 2 weeks ago and we are still waiting to hear whats going on. Its funny, we heard from the mortgage guy everyday, now im lucky if he calls me back.... I am hoping to go into closing by January 15th..

I would speak with her flat out and tell her just that.. I think that being that the wheels are turning, she should be able to negogiate something to get hte deal closed.

Good Luck sweetie.. I know how exciting this time is being that we just went through it a little over a month ago.. Try and enjoy it, but most of all, look at the big picture.. it always puts things into perspective.. =)

Just an FYI - the seller bays the real estate agent. The seller signs a contract in regards to the percentage when they sign up their house and the agent gets all the money from them. As the buyer, you should not have to give the agent any money at all.

Until the closing is done, the agent receives no money, so it is in their best interest to keep up on things and get things to run smoothly in order to get paid.

Once you have signed the contract it is best to have anything you need taken care of through your mortgage handler and your lawyers.

I am in contract, i am waiting to go into closing...and thats on or about january 9th.. so i am hoping that its with in that week, but i have a feeling it wont be.

Marcella, I think that January 9th is just to close, apparently the mortgage people are still wating on some work verifcication from my last job...
