how long after wedding

are you leaving for your HM? just wondering cause some people say they are so tired they want to wait. I def want to SLEEP in the next day. I am getting married on a sun night and am trying to decide if I should leave Monday night or Tuesday. . . hate to rush away but hate to waste vacation days.. .

We leave the next day (about 1pm, so we can still sleep in a bit). But we do have a really long plane ride, so I will just sleep there

We're going to bounce around Europe for 3 weeks so I figured Sept was better than August. Everyone in europe takes their vacations in august so a lot of stuff is closed

Our reception ends at 6pm - we are at the airport by 7:30am the next morning :o) - I know that I will need a tranquilizer and a cocktail on the plane - I can sleep then

I am glad to see I am not the only one taking the HM months later. We are getting married in March but taking the HM at the end of June. I am a teacher, but we didn't book the wedding for the summer because it was more expensive. At least this gives us a little more time to save and something else to look forward to after the wedding!

Wedding is on Sunday.
FH's parents are hosting a brunch on Monday (labor day) at the hotel, so we'll be leaving on Tuesday.

Our wedding is on a Saturday. We will most likely plan a honeymoon that leaves on Tuesday. That will give us the day after the wedding to sleep and relax, Monday to pack, and Tuesday to start a week in paradise. Generally Tuesday travel is cheaper.

Our wedding is on Friday and we will leave Sunday for a short trip our RH is giving us the Hm so we are waiting till the spring of 2010 to take it!!

Our wedding is on a Sunday night and we leave for HM on Monday night. We are spending the night at a hotel near RH and then the following day seeing our families before flying out.

We got married on a Sun afternoon. Reception ended at 5, we left our afterparty at 10:30pm and went to our own hotel. Our flight was at 10:50AM Monday morning. We left for the airport around 8:30ish AM.

Would have been nice to have a day off in between, but it would have meant one less day in St. Lucia so we left right after. We probably went to bed at 2am because we opened all of our gifts, read our guest book, had NW fun and drank the champagne in our hotel room. Also felt like our honeymoon began that night since we went from reception to afterparty to hotel to airport without coming home in between
