I've known people who got pg the first month off the pill. I myself have been off for a year though and still not pg. I guess it depends.

I think it depends on your body. My doctor told me within the year. Meaning it can happen immedietly up to one year. For me, it took 3 months.

You should try to be off it for 3 months before you get preggo.

One of my friends messed up her pills while she was sick and got preggo I think it depends how fertile you are

That happened to my FSIL as well.

I think they suggest being off it for 3 months...

After being on it for like 6 years -- I got married ... had aunt flo for the wedding -- was supposed to start a new pack the first day of our honeymoon -- forgot to bring said pack to hawaii -- and got pregnant three days later! Who knows!

Very exciting T!

I went off in Sept, married in Dec. preggo in Feb!

I also got the fertility monitor recommended by the girls here. Preggo the first month using it!

Both times I was preggo the first month after stopping the pill so I am proof it can happen at any time. My OB said it's perfectly safe to try right away after stopping and that waiting for the pills to leave your system is no longer necessary.

We thought it would take awhile after I stoped taking the pill but it only took us TWO WEEKS!!

I just found out this weekend from a friend that she is pregnant and that they got pregnant one week after she went off the pill

Definitely depends on how fertile you are. One of my girlfriends skipped a pill by accident and got prego, and another was off the pill for a year before hand.
