before going back to work? And will you work full time or part time? SAHM for how long?
I am currently a SAHM indefinately. Lately though I have really been considering my going back to work options. Although I hate the idea of leaving Jack at daycare when we can afford for me to stay home, I'm starting to think I need an outlet for myself if even a couple hours a week. But I may not pursue that until he is a little older. I don't have a job to go back to since we moved from TX to OH when I was 6 months preggo and just never got another job.
I'm currently a sahm indefinitely also. I'm planning on continuing my education but so far i just don't see myself leaving my baby with anyone else that is not me.
Before she was born I planned on going back to work 3 months later... but shes 2 1/2 and Im still home. I can't leave her. I will probably be a SAHM till all my kiddies are in school.
I work p/t and I love it! I love being home with my kids, but I have huge student loans and went through a lot of schooling so I kinda need to stay in the loop and up on all that is going on in my field. It is a great balance, I work on mondays, I'm off tues and wed, 1/2 day thurs and work all day fri. I have my own private practice and I work on thursday nights from 5-9pm, but when I'm not with them either my husband or my parents are! I could never put them in daycare, too scary for me! I was out for 4 months with my first born, 4 1/2 months with my secind ad will be out for abour 5-6 months with this next one!!
I am planning on staying out for 5 months and then I will begin to look for a new job. Right now I am currently unemployed (28 weeks pregnant). I would love to be a SAHM but DH doesn't believe we could afford it, we could but wouldn't be able to have the lifestyle we are used to. So it will be back to work for me.
I will most likely be working part time for a few years pending that we can survive financially. I plan on babysitting during the day for my sil child and they plan on paying me a small allowance for that to help out with our bills. -- I consider that a fair trade off for day care. Im going to try to find something that I could work pt at night for about 20 hours a week.
I was home for 14 weeks.
i stayed out for 3 months with my first and I plan to do the same with the second I have a way better job now than I did then so when the time comes if I feel I need to stay a little longer then I will. I am due in June so I will be atleast out till the beginning of Sept. So I can look forward to a nice summer.
I just returned to work part time and my son is 11 weeks old.
I would love to be a SAHM indefinately, but I don't think that's going to be an option, so I will most likely take 12 weeks, then go back to work PT
I was home for 3 months and now I work part time. I'm a nurse so that means 2 overnight shifts a week.
I was a sahm with my second till he was 2 and then I had to get back to work in an office enviorment. But, I ran my own business for several years to supplement my income I just closed my business about year and a half ago. since 1987 it was good to me
12 weeks. haven't worked out if we'll do day care, nanny or whatever yet when i have to go back...
