My mom and I are going to look at dresses this saturday before a florist appt. I plan on getting to RK Bridal very early (possibly opening time) since I know it can get busy on the weekend.
So my question is this.... How long did you try on dresses at RK? I want to fit in David's Bridal also but I don't know whether I could fit in both before the florist (at 2:30 in queens) or should I just go to DB after?

I got to RK at 9am on the dot and waited until 9:30 when they opened they right away gave me someone to work with and i showed her pictures of dresses i was looking for and she started pulling dresses out for me. I left out of RK around 11:30 since i didn't try on tons of dresses around 5 and narrowed it down to 2.

thanks... I think I should probably wait until after the appt then to go to DB. I need to leave enough time for travel esp since i'm taking the train....

I actually went to RK on the same the that I had an appointment with Davids Bridal, but I didn't make it to DB because I found my dress at RK! I was there for two hours (until closing time) and tried on like 20 dresses, until I put on the last one which was it. However, I went in the weekday and I was told that they don't spend as much time with each bride on a weekday because it gets crowded. Good Luck!

I got there as soon as the store opened, put my name on the list, waited about an hour and then tried on my 5 dresses in less than 20 minutes. The saleswoman was so rude and nasty, told me I looked bad in the dresses and rushed me out of them. On the other hand, when my cousin went for her wedding, everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant. I'd recommend going during the week if possible. If not, I'd allocate at least an hour and a half to two horus for RK. Good luck!

I went on a Saturday. We got there at around 11:30, and there was a screw-up with the list, so I waited almost 2 hours. I only tried dresses on for about 30 minutes, though, because I fell in love with one dress. Some girls were there for a loooooong time, while others tried on three dresses and left. I'd leave yourself plenty of time...I'd do your second appointment after

I just want to say bring pictures look up the desginers they carry and take pictures with you....I did that and they pulled whatever they had.....After that or when you are waiting you can look through racks....

Got mine from RK...waited a while..went early also but it was worth it!! Definitely need time and patience with those people over there though!!!! Good luck!

Patience! Patience! Patience! I went on a Wednesday and I was able to pick my five dresses (i think I had 7 though) and then waited about 30 minutes before I was in the fitting room with Emily. BTW, she was great because from my 7 dresses, she choose dresses that she thought I would like. In the end, I felt so overwhelmed with the whole process and was torn between two dresses. I took a lunch break with sis and mom and then went to Macy's to try on the dress I was in love with but it did not thrill me the way my RK bridal dress fit. So I walked back to RK bridal and bought my dress.
I also recommended not carrying a heavy purse because it was annoying having to carry the bag and look through the dresses.
