depends where you ordered from. I ordered my invitiations and got them in a little more than a week.

It might be a little close, I gave my people a little over 5 weeks to RSVP. But I thikn that people should be able to plan and RSVP within a month, that doens't seem crazy.

forgot to add- we sent out std's and are having a dw so most people who are going have bought their tix already

What i meant is-- our wedding date is 2/17/07-- want people to rsvp by 1/1707-- will send them out first week of december.
is 4 weeks before rsvp and wedding date too short?

I dont' think so. I am going to send out invites middle to the end of march with an RSVP of 5/1/07
I'm not having a DW though.

I think the most important consideration is how long in advance your reception hall / caterer requires a firm headcount......
I'm conservative.... I made it 9 weeks, although I believe 4-6 weeks is standard...

It's close, but I think you will be fine. Especially since you sent STD's out and most are already coming and know about it.
