should you stop taking birth control before strting to try to get pregnant? I was thibking of starting right after my best friends wedding in February

Every dr seems to have a different opinion it seems on this one. My friend's dr told her she could go off them and ttc right away. I was told to wait a month or two.

I've been on the pill for 11 years, my dr told me to wait six months because the lining of my uterus is thin and although I can get pregnant, I might not be able to carry the baby to term. Just something to thing about.

Interesing I went to the doctor last week and he said there is no time to wait he said that once you go off it is out of your system

My doc told us to wait until I got my first natural period after going off the pill and then to start having relations on day 10 and every other day.

this is the first I have heard of this! a little disturbing. I've been on the pill for more than 11 years and I am ttc...have not heard this

I think that advice was specific to the other poster. I don't think most people on the pill of many years will have that problem. If you saw your doctor prior to TTC then I'd think he/she would have let you know.
