Re: how long before the wedding...
My wedding is in March 2007, and I have found that some of them are booked already. I would do it as soon as possible, espcially if your wedding is peak season.

You should book them as soon as possible they get booked up fast. One make up artist I wanted was book for 2007 when I called her up back in 2005. The trial you might want to wait until closer to the wedding unless you want the trial to determine if you want to use the person or not.

Re: how long before the wedding...
umm I went for my makeup trial about a year ahead of time bc I went of engagement pics.
The hair I waited until like 2 months before bc I was using my reg stylist

Re: how long before the wedding...
I booked my makeup person back in February (Oksana) because she is in high demand. My hair is being done by my longtime hair stylist so she knows about it.

Re: how long before the wedding...
I booked mine late...but got very, very lucky. (5 months before is when I first contacted her and didn't have the trial or book until 4 months before)
eta-but all the big names laughed at my requests for a trial b/c they'd been booked up for so long...which i find odd since i only had one date twin on here.

Re: how long before the wedding...
I would reccomend as soon as possible...I knew I was going to my stylist, so I spoke to her about it as soon as I was engaged (about 22 months before the wedding), but my trial won't be until a few weeks before the wedding.
With makeup, I booked an artist 9 months before my wedding (and some people were booked at that time)...then I switched artists...now I am looking again, as my artist is moving to SC...
