How long before the wedding...

How long before the wedding...

are (or did) you picking up your dress from alterations? I would like to pick it up Saturday (one week before) which is the date they gave me or picl up since my seamstress is a good 45 minute drive from my house & I have so many other final things to do next week. I plan to hang it in my old & basically empty bedroom in my parents' house. Is a week in advance okay to pick it up?

I picked mine up 2 weeks in advance, so I think a week is fine.

I was able to pick mine up the day before. I did this because I had no where to hang it at my mom's house.

i picked it up friday for my sunday wedding. i wanted to leave there for as long as i could.

2 days before - I really had no where to hang it for long because we had a lot of OOTers at my house.

I lied about my wedding date... I gave them a week earlier just so everything would get done on time. I picked up my dress about a week and a half before the wedding.

I am picking up mine 6 days before the wedding. If I could I would pick it up the day before, so I wouldn't have to worry messing it up or FH trying to peak at it.
