How long before your tried to get pregnanat wereyou on Prenatals?

I went to the ob/gyn this week and she gave me prenatals to start taking. We are going to start to try in the spring 2004, after the wedding. How soon did everyone else start taking them before getting pregnant? And which one? I am on Precept, and was wondering if anyone had any side effects from there prenatal vitamins good or bad?

the only side effect I noticed was this metallic taste in my mouth for the first few months of it. I didnt' start pre-natals though until I was pregnant so I don't know if that is some weird combination or something.

Before I tried, I was taking just a regular women's daily vitamin.

I was on them for 3 months. We weren't sure when we were going to start trying so I just got them at my yearly exam. I've been taking Prenate GT. I think they're great. I don't get any side effects or anything. I've never heard of the one's you're taking though, sorry!
