How long before your wedding

are you or FH having your bachelor/bachelorette party?

We are trying to time it.

The wedding is the weekend of September 13th.
Labor Day weekend is the weekend before.
My 25th birthday is the weekend before that.

Grr. We might get stuck with labor day weekend.

I've noticed some gals on here having theres a little earlier than their weddings though so I thought I'd ask.

I'd like to do mine in mid-August, about a month before. Not too close.

FH's will prob be in Oct
Mine prob around Oct/Nov and the wedding is January

I'd like mine to be 4-6 weeks before. I don't want it any closer than a month to the wedding.

OK thanks ladies. Ideally, I'd like to do the bridesmaid lunch/spa day type of thing the day before because I want to take time out and relax. I'm thinking about booking a couples massage as well.

I felt like I needed to do it within two weeks meaning having a combined 25th bday/bachelorette party which could be cool but...ok just to lay on a couch and vent for a sec...my bday always falls on labor day weekend so no one is ever around and most of the time i do nothing. Last year I moved home to NY right before my bday and all my friends went to Atlantic City and didn't invite me because they figured it was my bday I wouldn't want to go and it was the first time I was in NY and on Long Island in like 8 years or something like that and I sat in my room cleaning and that's fine but it made me want to do something for my 25th this year especially since it wasn't on labor day. When I lived in California I worked on my bday every year so now I feel like I can have a bday shindig and a b-party!!!

I just had mine on Saturday, exactly 3 weeks before.

It was most convenient for my OOT friends who are coming in again for the wedding. Any closer and it would've been too much of a financial burden. Plus the next two weekend promise to be NUTS with final prep!

I'm having mine the week of the wedding unfortunately since all my good friends are coming from OOT to the wedding. I can't ask them to travel from Canada 2x. I'm prob going out for something low key about 3 nights before the wedding!

for our April 23rd wedding, mine will most likely be in April because my sister is taking the nursing school entrance exam in March.

probably the same for FH.

I think mine will be in September or very early October, ideally. Hopefully FH's will be around the same time. The month before I want nothing to be going on except final appointments, and we probably will still be looking for a place to live

We are having our b-parties on July 25th just about a month before...it will probably take FH that long to recover.

We are having ours 2 months before. One of my best friends is getting married 20 days before me, and I didn't want any of our wedding activities to overlap or be too close to her wedding, since obviously I wanted her to be at everything. And FH is doing his the same weekend as I am, mostly for the convenience factor.
