How long before your wedding did your dress come in?
I ordered my dress the beginning of last October, I called on Friday to see if it was in yet and they told me another 2 weeks. Is that normal?

Wow that is a long time. Sometimes bridal salons play a game and tell you it is not in because they don't want you to come and try it on before your first fitting. Call again.
I ordered mine in April 05 and it came in 4 months later.
ETA: Who is the designer? I know Maggie Sottero and Eve of Milady take a long time.

My bridal shop is telling me that mine won't be in until 6 weeks before my wedding. I ordered it the beginning of April.

I'd just keep calling so they know you're on top of things. I was stressing a bit, b/c they told me it would take a certain amoutn of time, which would have been pretty close (too close) to the wedding. BUT...it's in and first fitting is on Saturday.
Just stay on top of them. It will be totally fine!!!

My dress took a while...ordered in September 2004 and it arrived in April 2005 but the salon told me to expect it in April. So it arrived on time without any problems. 7 months for me.

I ordered mine in April, it came in 2 months later!
It depends on the designer. some take a year or more to come in, and some can only take a month.

I ordered mine last September and it came in on Saturday. They told me August which is 3 months before my wedding.

It is a Maggie Sottero. I was just starting to get uptight it seemed like other brides getting married in Nov already had their dresses. I'll just make sure to stay on top of them. Thanks everyone.
