I ordered my dress in May, a LA Sposa brand dress. Have not heard from the store at all. They told me it can take up to 10 months. How long did it take you to get your dresses in?? I hope it comes in before 10 months b/c that takes me to March and my wedding is in May.

My dress is an Eve of Milady. I ordered it in June and it should be coming in in March, that's with rush order. If not, it would come in April.

10 months for me, my dress is by Ines Di Santo. As long as your dress comes in 6-8 weeks before your wedding date, you will be fine with the fittings.

ordered in March and received in Sept.
My place only has it come in 2 months prior on purpose. So if I ordered earlier or later it would have come in Sept no matter what. Not all places are like that though. And I could have done a rush order on it. But i liked having the time to lose the weight.
You have time. No need to worry yet. Start worrying if it's March and still not in yet.
Honestly it's different for every single situation. You're probably going to get all sorts of answers. It depends on the store as well as your wedding date and most of all the designer and size (or if they have to do anything special to it, etc).

2 months is ideal. You don't want the dress sitting around in the shop for too long. Trust me.
I know it's hard because you are sooo anxious to see your dress... but more than 8 weeks isn't necessary. 6 to 8 weeks is perfect.

usually the store places the order and company fills it based on when you will need it... so if you order your dress 12-18 months before your wedding it will take longer to come in than if you ordered it 6 months before your wedding, just because they don't want it sitting around until the date of and because you don't NEED it any sooner, so manufacturers fill other orders for closer dates before you
