Our wedding is Labor Day weekend. We plan to mail the invitations around June 25th & ask people to respond by August 1. Do you think this is too early to have people resond? Thanks!

No way!! I am sending mine out the beginning to middle of May and I put June 21 as my response date and my wedding is August 2. Never trust people to respond on time - that's what every other bride who got married told me.

I'm getting married Sept 28, sending out invitations the last week of June, RSVP by Aug 15. I think it's reasonable to have guests respond within 5-6 weeks before the wedding especially if you're getting married on holiday weekends or if you have a lot of guests traveling from far away or you're getting married on a Sunday...it gives everyone plenty of time to plan things, like travel and hotel arrangements, or taking off from work on Monday, if they plan to really party at your wedding!

I could tell you from my experience that it's better to give them an early date to respond by. My wedding is May 9, I sent my invites out the last week of Feb. and gave them April 11th to respond by and I still have about 20 responses still out. Some people just don't make it priority to send it back and then you get stuck not knowing how many people your gonna have or if your going to make your minimum. I'm going to start making calls to them next week just to see what's going on because we're gonna be meeting with the hall in about a week or so.
I mailed 5/4...rsvp date was 6/14...wedding date was 7/14

We gave them about a month and were still receiving rsvp's a couple of days before the wedding. The earlier the better.

We are sending our invites out May 17th for a June 27th response date for an August 1st wedding.

If your wedding is on a holiday, then I would make your response earlier. My date was like 7 weeks b/f my Christmas wedding. But expect to be waiting up to the last minute with some people anyway!

We are planning on sending the invites out in early June for our 8/30 wedding. Response date is 7/28.
