I met with my florist today and she is concerned about how much time I have between taking pictures and our ceremony start time. My time line is currently 6 hours between the first look and actual ceremony. We are planning to take ALL pictures (bridal party and family) before our ceremony. Travel time from hotel to photo location and to our RH is also included in the 6 hours. I realize it's a long time.
If you had a long time frame between your pics and ceremony, can you please share your experience with your flowers lasting? My personal flowers are roses and mini calla lilies. TIA

So i had my photog come 6 hours before the start of my ceremony because, like you, i did all my pics before. He did both of us getting ready, and our first meet at the hotel, then the ride to the RH (we had ceremony and reception at the same venue). the rest of the pics were taken at the RH. as for my personal flowers, i didn't get them till i got to the RH, about 4 hours before the ceremony. they were perfect as were all the BP's flowers. there was no need for anyone to have the flowers before they got to the RH, so we had them delivered with the CP's which saved us on having to have the florist do 2 deliveries

my florist was only concerned bc i am using hydrangea but she is going to keep them in water as much as possible.

I had roses and mini callas and my flowers lasted all day. Its been 6 days since my wedding and my flowers still look great!

I would just keep them in water as much as you can. I think you should be okay with roses and calla lilies, but obvs a florist would know better than me.
