How long do you let a cold go before you go the doctor?
My sinuses have been stuffed up for about six days now. I am feeling a little better (less achy) but I dont know if I should try to get an appt with the doctor. I feel like they will laugh at me and say its just a cold and there is nothing we can do. Also, I may be better by the time i get an appt.

I'm a freak, but if it were me I'd go. It might be a sinus infection, rather than just a cold.

For just a cold, I usually dont go to the doctor and work with OTC remedies, time and rest.
But when I have that achy feeling in my joints, I usually go to the doctor right away (or with in a day or two) b/c I usually need antibiotics to beat it.

Since your sinuses are bothering you I'd go to the doctor, it might be sinusitis or some other sinus infection that you will need antibiotics for.

Have you been taking anything? Six days is kind of long to go for a cold. Try to make an appt, if you feel bettter by then you can always cancel it!

Thanks for your responses girls...I just made an appt for Sat. morning...so this way if I am still not well I have that apt.
I just told FH I made the appt. (he's been on my case to go to the doctor) and he asked what finally made me make the appt....I told him LIW girls

I had s inus infection and thought it was a cold,(For the first week I swore it was a cold) but it felt like the worst cold of my life, I ended up having 102 fever and after I went to the doctor I felt a lot better.
