Saturday afternoon, I called a vendor (that I'm considering booking) and asked to speak with the owner. The woman I spoke with said that he just stepped out, but he'll give me a call back. He still hasn't called me back. How long would you wait to call back? Would you still want to book with someone who doesn't return your calls? I understand that sometimes things are missed, but this kinda makes me

Yeah, I'd try one more time and if you get blown off again scratch em... but def follow up by now.
I had one photog who I called, they told me to fill out their form online and they would call me back to set up a meeting.. I waitied, nothing, I called back and left a message... and they never called me back. At THAT point I was like, ok, no. Eff you now, not booking you ever.

i agree - call back today and give him/her another shot ... if he/she still doesn't call back, then don't work with them.

ITA. I would give them a call today and see what the status is. If they give you the run around or blow you off again, then they don't deserve your $. You wouldn't want to deal with people who have bad organizing skills for the next however months till your wedding.

Re: how long do you wait?
what type of vendor is it? if its a RH it could be that ther person you asked to speak to only works certain days a week and is not in today and that is why they have not returned your call. call again and ask to speak with the person you originally asked for and if not, someone else who can help you.
if you have to leave another and they still don't call you back - then drop them!

wow, that's nice! I was almost ready to book on friday and then they quoted me more than they did on our initial meeting (even tho they had the paperwork in front of them). I met with the owner the first time and someone else on Friday, but this time we added in one enlargement and a sign-in board with one of our e-pix and the price jumped $300. When we said that we don't need those 2 things, they didn't reduce the price and said that those aren't big ticket items and won't reduce the package, they're kinda just 'gifts'. So how come they made the price jump up but not down? We were negotiating back and forth and trying to take things out of the package to reduce the price, but then he'd go back, call the owner, and the price would remain the same, so at one point in our negotiations, we were getting more for the same $ than we're getting with our 'final offer' quote that we walked out with. Now, I'm all confused and would like to speak with the owner to straighten things out

Call back tomorrow. If it's a vendor they might have been busy Sat and many vendors are closed on Mondays.

well, if you don't go with them, I'd recommend Thomas Paul. He has a complete package and he's really nice.
