Am I just rough on my hands?! Without fail, every freaking manicure - reardless of where I get it - lasts me ABOUT 1 or 2 days before completely chipping.
Is there any way to make it last longer?!

mine lasts 4 days tops.. i wash my hair everyday so that doesnt help-- i try to wear rubber gloves while washing the dishes and throwing a clear coat on after a day or so.

i put top coat on EVERY night to try and salvage a full week out of one manicure

Mine never lasts more than 2 days. Thats why I only get a manicure for a special occasion.

Wow...I had no idea a mani only lasts a few days!! I have been getting fake nails put on lately...but I have never had long enough nails to get a mani...sheesh...

mine lasts 2-3 days before little chips... which is why i always get sheer pink so it's not too noticeable. it's so frustrating - i used to have gel wraps (permanent french) so i'm not accustomed to having to get manicures so often

Usually by the 2nd day it starts chipping. I don't think there's anyway to prevent it.
I know when I had fake nails, the polish didn't chip.

I think it depends on where you have it done. I find that when I go to the more expensive salons, it last up to a week. If I go to the cheaper ones, it only lasts a few days.

my last manicure (blue nails in merrick/bellmore area) lasted over a week!!!
but... when i do it myself it doesn't last as long. and if i dont have polish on then my nails rip bc i dont really get enough calcium and im not used to having long nails. i must keep a nail file with me at all times and i cant find the last one i just bought
i will probably polish my nails again tonight. i'm a biter and im trying really hard to have nails for the wedding.
it's funny that NY is considered so expensive for a lot of things but i'm spoiled.. I miss my $17.99 mani/pedi... out here a manicure is $15! and a pedicure is $30-35!

I swear my nail place is magical... I get it done once a week, and it doesn't even chip. It wears a little, and I have the growth at the bottom of the nail, but even after 7 days it still looks good!

You are right, in NY mostly everything is more expensive...except for nail salons. I was stunned when i was in Arizona and it was like $28 for a pedicure, In Nassau County on Tues or Wed I can get a mani/pedi for $20.
To answer the original question though, mine always, no matter where I get it done, only lasts about 3 days before chipping. I always get a sheer pink also so that it isn't as noticeable.

mine always lasts longer when i do it myself..i think its that cheap polish they use. By the way...my nails never grew either and used to split..i started taking Skin, Hair, and Nail vitamins and now they wont stop growing!!
