How long does a photographer...

How long does a photographer...

need to take pics post ceremony with the bridal party?

Ours is fairly small - 2 Best Men, 2 MOH, 2 Jr Bm, 1 FG and 1 Jr GM.

We were gonna go to Pearsall Park in Amityville, then head to CLM for pics on the docks with the family. Maybe some more with the BP too.

I was figuring we'd get to the park sometime around 4:30-45. (Ceremony is at 3:30 in Masapequa).

Cocktail hour starts at 6, so I figured we'd start pics at CLM around 5:30 ish. Already checked with Nick at CLM and he says it's fine.

How does this sound? am I giving the photographer enough time?

And will CLM hate me for bringing a bunch of people a half hour before reception? Because of my shuttle situation, there will be people there that won't even be taking pics...

TIA!

I would ask your photographer...they are the best at knowing how long it will take them...i contacted mine when it came to scheduling

See....that's where I think Duet is lacking...communication kinda stinks. I thought a final meeting was in order and I was looked at like I had two heads!

I Love pearsall park...I actually put 2 photo locations down on the form- pearsall park and Jones Beach...I figure if we ge to the beach and its SUPER crowded (labor day weekend ) we'll go to the park

I think the photographer needs about an hour to an hour and a half

I just emailed them...hope we can figure this out!!

See, since my BP is small and the park is small, I can't imagine needing an hour at that park. Then we're going to CLM for pics on the dock, mostly family shots. I told Nick we'd be there at 5:30 (half hour before cocktail hour starts)

I did my final meeting with mine over the phone...we went over a whole list of stuff...including time frames and how much he needed...my DOC also helped out with figuring this stuff out.

I am using Jay from Duet, and he told me getting ready = anywhere from 1.5 hours to 2 hours and that the portrait photos take anywhere from 1.5 hours to 2 hours depending on how many people you have. I would be on the safe side and reserve 2 hours.

I hope this helps you!!!

we're only doing 1 location - the hall - and the photog told me 1 hour.

I will have 2 photogs, so while 1 is taking my family portrait, the other can set up FH's family, etc.

I would ask your photographer...we showed up at our hall 2 hours early and this was ok. We did our pics at OWG and we had 1.5 hours

I know when I asked my photographer how early he will be arriving before the mass; which starts at 3:30 he said to be ready and have all the girls ready by 1:00 b/c that is when he will be arriving.

HTH..

It depend on how well your BP has it together. Mine did NOT have it together and ended up taking FOREVER and missing some shots...
