Ladies.....my mom and FMIL keep telling me and FH to go pick the dining room and bed-set we want...they are telling us it takes 9 months to come in- I find this VERY hard to believe.
How long does it take for furniture to reallllllllly come in???

Are you making all of your furniture from scratch, or are you buying it at a store like Ashley's, Raymour & Flanigan, etc.?
If you're buying it at a furniture store where it's not custom, you can sometimes get it delivered within days...Jennifer Convertibles takes a few weeks but that's like 4-6 weeks TOPS.

We got our dining table at Macy's -- it took I think a week for it to be delivered. The rest of our main furniture like bedroom set and living room couches were from Ashley's - I think it took like 2 weeks to get in. If they have it in stock it's really quick to come in.

i think it depends on the manufacturer.
when my fiance and i moved into our apartment, our couch took about 4-5 months!

we ordered our furniture from Bobs and majority of the pieces were delievered in a few weeks. There were 2 pieces that took longer because they were not in stock here and had to be shipped in from overseas
