how long does it take to get a dress from davids bridal?
i'm going this week to look at a second dress. i have exactly 3 months. is there any way davids would be able to order one for me with enough time for alterations? how long does it take for their dresses to come in?

absolutely!! They can always rush it for a fee or you can take the dress elsewher to have it fitted!! My sil got married in march and ordered her dress in January and it only took four weeks!!

My BM dresses weren't supposed to be in for 6 weeks, but they came in after about 3 1/2-4 weeks

David's Bridal dresses you can take off the rack. The designer dresses they sell there take longer. They told me mine would take 3 months and it was ready in 3 weeks. They see if other stores have them first before they order it from the designer. Hope this helps.

My BM's went there and they were told 2 to 6 weeks, which is great cuz my MOH is pregnant and due at the end of this month. She won't be able to even order her dress until the beginning of May, at the earliest, so, yes, I think you have plenty of time!

You had better order immediately....I ordered mine in January (wedding july 9th) and i'mi not sure when it came in, but i picked it up last week. my alterations appt isn't until May (partly by demand on their part....a little rude i thought....i just need a bustle done, so i really felt pressured to have it done at an inconvenient time for me...May is a busy month in our family) The store in Westbury is a buy off the rack store....so it's possible that you can find a dress and they have your size in stock, too.

My dress was ready in three weeks. I was really surprised. If I would have known that I wouldn't have gotten my dress so early. I would inquire about alterations though. Good luck

i called and made an appt for tomorrow. the woman said they don't have to order dresses--that they are mostly in stock and only have to be ordered if something is wrong. is that true?

The one I ordered they said would take a little longer than most: 16-20 wks. I ended up picking it up in 4 wks!!!

my dress came in less than 4 weeks I ordered it in October and they said it won't be in till the end of december early january and it came in by november

i got mine at David's in Maryland and they said it would be 6-8 weeks, but they called me in about 2!!
