We got ours at Islip town hall last week. It took 10 minutes. We both brought our driver's license and birth certs.

I would just call ahed just in case to make sure you bring the ID they require. Some town halls ask for different things. also remember your checkbook, mine was $40

It took us over an hour today in NYC. I guess how long it takes depends on where you go and what day/time you go. We went first thing in the morning and it was packed. If you go to NYC, they don't accept checks, only money orders ($35).

DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT go to the one in queens. i was there the other day and waited over 2 hours while there were only like 8 couples in front of us!!!!!!!!!!!

you got your marriage license now for a 2007 wedding? the license expires after 60 days.
