How long for Maggie Sotero or Sottero & Midgley to come in?
I am wonder where they have a good selection of Maggie Sotero or Sottero & Midgley and how long did it take for the dress to come in?

For your October wedding you are really pushing it. I ordered my Maggie at the end of January and it came in mid-June, so 4-1/2 months. My first fitting was August 30th.
I bout mine at Bridal Reflections at Massapequa, Lilette's in Baldwin has a large selection as well. There are other stores that carry Maggies, I am sure the other ladies will chime in.

I was told 4-6 months. I ordered my Maggie at the end of February and it has a ship date of June 16th so mine took about 4 months. You could always see if they could put a rush on it.
I got mine at The Bridal Suite of Centereach.

You are pushing it....I ordered mine at the end of Sept and it had a ship date of Feb 28.....but they were delayed and it didn't actually arrive until the 2nd week of april!

I recommend going to Lillette's (if you can ask for Gerri or Christina) - they have a nice selection of Maggie gowns - I got my Rosemary Leigh there and had absolutely no problems.
I ordered mine in May 2007 and got it the beginning of February 2008.

You need to find a gown ASAP! You are cutting it kinda close. Like the girls said, it takes between 4-6 mos for your gown. You may have to pay extra for a rush order

My Sottero Midgley took less than 4 months and then you have to add in the time for alterations

I ordered in August and it came in the last day of February for my March wedding. you're cutting it kind of close. Helen's at Wedding World has a nice selection

someone at the Massapequa Bridal Reflections and I read somewhere too.. that it was 6-9 months in general, so I ordered in April... don't know for sure when it will be in

I ordered mine the end of september and it came in the middle of february, I definitely think you are pushing it date time but talk to the salons-they can tell you whether it is possible-you may have to pay for a rush on it

This is what I found out (from an inside source). If a Bride comes in very early for her dress, the store holds the order and does not put it in right away. Apparently they are scared that something could happen (the wedding is cancelled, etc.), and they would be stuck with the dress (minus the deposit...unless they had to give that back too). That is why even for those of you that ordered your dress 6-8 months out, you received it about a month to 6 weeks probably before the wedding.
Maggie Sotero dresses that are ordered this week are coming in Mid August, ordered next week would be the 3rd week in August.

That's not true in my case. I ordered mine in February (the last week of) and mine is due in early August.

You are fine, don't let everyone stress you out. Yes, you do need to get a dress soon, but it is doable. And you don't need months for alterations. One month is fine. The rush fee is only $100, so find your dress and rush order it. I recommend Lotus Bridal in Brooklyn. I got mine there. I ordered in December and it came in last week. I'm not even doing fittings until one month before.

this is somewhat true, depending on the popularity of the dress depends on when its cut. Lets say you have a Jan, feb and march bride...who are all wearing the same dress-they will cut all three and ship them out. If the dress is less popular and they only have a March bride wearing it they will wait it out until later. it all depends on your wedding date and the dress you chose

so if this is true, you have nothing to worry about! I got my MS gown from Helens at Wedding World in Commack. I ordered 1st week of May, it is sopposed to be in begining of September

So I freaked out yesterday...scared to death I would not get my dress. I went to Bridal Suite of Bay Shore and ordered my Maggie. It has to be custom made because I am SO freaking short (4'10'). I didn't have to do a rush order, and it will be in early September. Whew!!!
