So, DH and I couldn't go to WOTY because we finally had our album appointment on Saturday - which we made 4 months ago because 1/14 was the FIRST available Saturday! I didn't realize it took 8 months to get my album and I don't get my proofs back until then either I love my proofs and, obviously, the ones I chose for the album! So, basically, a year from the date I made my album appointment is when I'll get my actual album I'm sure this is normal but I just never really thought about how long it takes ...

yikes I used Anthony also Jennie My proofs were ready 3 weeks ago and i am finally going to beable to get them this saturday and i am dying to see them! I had no idea it took so long to get the album. Oh well I am sure its worth the wait as his work is amazing!

You're going to love your proofs! I know I did - that's why I hated parting with them Do yourself a favor and make your album appointment while you're there. When I called Diane back in September, she told me her first available Saturday appointment was January 14th. It's because she only does one a day since it's such an involved process. She was really great to work with though and I think our album will look great ... I have to tell myself it's worth the wait!

I will do that when I go, I got pics from friends and family and they came out great so i can only imagine how great the ones Anthony took will look. How many proofs did you get? I am nervous because he is photo journalistic I didnt pay attention or realize when he was snapping away.

We added the traditional photographer onto the regular package and then we were actually lucky enough that Anthony was training Sarah on our wedding day, so she was taking pictures as well. I think we must have had somewhere between 800-900 proofs which was more than enough! It was 4 boxes!

I had Anthony and 2 regular photographers and one video guy.....I just cant wait to see the pics......He was great and he is a friend of my sisters so I get to see him again when he does her wedding in August...

Wow!!! My photographer told me it would take 8 weeks for them to create the layout for me and then another 8 weeks after I approve it.
What I don;t get is why do we have to give them the actual proofs! Why can't we just give them the number on the back.
I feel like I gave them my favorite pics and now I can't hang any up around the house until I get them back

that's all we had to give our photographer, the numbers. why do they need the actual proofs? they have the negatives/digital files.

I meet with them more than 8 weeks ago and I keep anxiously checking my email but no layout....

Yep, ours is approx 6 months from the date we submitted our final proof selection!!!

we went to do our at thanksgiving and she said it would take 6mos. they are the hand matted kind of album so it sounds reasonable to me.

I just made my appointment and they said it would be 8 months to get the album. That *****. They will take the proofs too. I wanted to put them all in a few albums so I can show them to people.

I scanned mine and printed them out on my comp. The quality was not quite as nice but you still get the idea.
