Hi I'm new! Just got engaged to my boyfriend of just over 2 1/2 years. But we have been living together for just over 2 years. (Moved in after only 6 months!) And I wouldn't have it any other way!

Dating for 3 Wonderful, Loving Years and on the date that marked our 3rd Year Anniversary, He proposed. So right now we have 3 years, 4 months, 12 days. But who's counting?

Met: February 10 2002...second date was Feb. 14, 2002... EWngaged, Feb 14, 2004. Living together since APril, 2003. When we marry: 2 & half years since we met...on match.com

We got engaged after 6 months and at the wedding will have been together 1 year and 5 months - but we met 6 years ago as roommates!

We've been together 10 months tomorrow. Just got engaged 3 weeks ago! We knew after a month that this was it! By the time we get married we'll have been together a little over 2 years. :)

Wow. We have such a range here. From just over a year to nearly a decade! That's amazing. it's interesting how people get married right awya and some wait a long time. There are reasons for all of this. I can't imagine deciding to get married after only 7 months! But it's so great that you could be sure so soon. For us 5yr + brides, I think we can all attest to the complete changes we've all been through. Our relationship was totally different when we were going out 7 months, and so were we. But we've been together ever since. It's nice when you know! Also, I couldn't imagine waiting much longer!!!! I really wish i could get married sooner, but any sooner and I get scared about the $$ issue
I think you are right...we got engaged quickly (only 7 months), because we have both had relationships before and are a little older. FH is 39 (divorced) and I am 30. But...for those of you who are in the 5+ range...you might be younger...or started dating when you were really young and it didn't make sense to get married at 21 after only 7 months of dating. I thought we would get alot of comments from family about how quickly we got engaged, but we didn't get any....just well wishes. When I was younger...I was engaged at age 24 to someone I dated for almost 7 years. It didn't work out....but, I think it was because I was so young and hadn't experienced life and other relationships. Looking back...it was one of the best things that ever happened to me.

I think it's great when you find the right one, no matter when it is! It's just mind blowing to think of people at all different stages. I was definitely not criticizing, btw. It's just such a range! I think it's cool that we have such a range of couples on here.

Oh, I know you weren't critizing...but I was just commenting on my thoughts to your post. I felt for while it would never happen to me...and I am just so grateful that it did...and I met my FH.
