Re: How long in advance..
I'm not doing this for possibly another few months. I was thinking about having a trial next month for a wedding I'm going to, but not sure yet.

Re: How long in advance..
It depends, there are some LIW vendors that are booking for 08' already. I wanted to make sure I locked in who I wanted now, so that is why I went a year in advance.
If there is someone you have in mind, go and get a trial, you can only loose out IMO if you wait.

Re: How long in advance..
Im gonna probably schedule mine in Nov. I want to do it around the same time of the wedding ( 1 year in advance) so that I can see how it all holds up in the same type of weather. I know that by next year it might not be the same temp and type of weather but oh well.... its worth a shot
Technically... I have had 2 'trails' 1 for my bros wedding. who I plan on using for my wedding and1 for my E-partty.. the E-party makeup did not last as soon as the dancing started. So that automatically knocks that person off the drawing boards. I was soooo happy with the makeup done for my bros wedding. it last all night even after 6 hours of dancing.

Re: How long in advance..
I'm looking into making appt's now for my hair & make-up. It's the hardest thing I've had to do soo far. I wish I could just find that someone that see's my vision, as opposed to paying for 4 or 5 trials and being disappointed. Kinda stinks.

I know who I am using for my hair. She is a friend I have known for years. I am going to use a wedding I have in September as a trial. I am also having someone in her salon do my makeup so we will see how that comes out too.

I am getting married in March and so, I am having my trial this Sept. I would have done the trials a bit more closer to the date but my hair/makeup person is pregnant and will be taking her leave in Nov~January.
She recommended originally anytime after 6 months mark. Trends change, your thoughts on makeup/hair may change if you have too much time in between trial and the day of.
I booked her even though I didn't go through trial because I 've read enough good reviews and has had good communication with her so far.

Re: How long in advance..
I had a trial w/Oksana and booked her. I booked Jenn the Hair Genie too, but I'll wait and have my trial w/her once I have my veil, etc.
