Should I buy a wedding dress. I wasn't planning on even looking for a dress until May but now I'm thinking I may want to get on it earlier. Is there certain times that are good for buying. Are the styles that are out now good for next year? I only got engaged a month ago and feel like I'm so far behind in my planning...
I've heard it depends on the designer but can take up to a year. I thought I would start looking around sept but I guess not.
i got mine a year in advance only because im outta state and had to have enough time to plan a trip for fittings

I'm going up to Long Island this weekend. My mom wants me to buy the dress in NY so going to see about getting an appt for Saturday. Any suggestions? My mom has already vetoed Kleinfeld's plus I don't want to have to wait for an appt. Any places in Nassau that you guys suggest?
I just ordered my dress on Sunday, and it won't be in until at least the holidays, so it's good to go as early as possible! I went to The Bridal Suite of Bay Shore... but that's in Suffolk county... they were great though!

My mom made an appt for Saturday at Lillette's in Baldwin. I've read good things about them. I'm so excited!!!
I would start looking...What can it hurt?? If you find 'the dress' then you order it, but looking is good to figure out what style you like & what looks great on :)

for my demetrios dress i ordered it in october and its still not in they said it would come in in may and my moonlight gown I ordered in january and should be in in may or june
