Ok, sounds like a dumb question but I'm trying to figure out how long the crinoline slip should be compared to the length of the gown - should it be only a few inches shorter? by how much??
My gown was altered but the seamstress didn't adjust the length of the crinoline, so now I feel like the bottom is much fluffier than the hip area -- can u guys picture what I'm saying here?? Having a hard time describing it ... will try to take a pic ...

Re: How long is your crinoline slip?
Your crinoline should be 1-2 inches above your hem. If your crinoline is too short, say 3 or 4 inches above that length you will get a 'drop off' where the fullness just disappears and then your gown will just hang.
