We are going for 7 nights to Aruba....but we don't arrive until the afternoon, and leave on the last day at 1pm. As far as I'm concerned those 2 travel days don't count. We are considering extending but its a lot of $ and extra time off of work. We're also going to one resort (not several places) so that amount of time may be ample before we start getting bored. Also, we are marrying in February and don't want to use all of that vacation so early in they year. On the other hand, it is our HONEYMOON.
What do you think? And, how long is your honeymoon? Do you think 7 nights is enough? (with just 5 weeks till wedding day, I'm starting to get a little nutty and question EVERYTHING )

I think that 7 nights is enough. I understand what you are saying about not wanting to take so many day early on in the year. It's the same with me. I am going to need a week off in April so I think we are doing a 9 night honeymoon. Anything longer I & will go crazy.

we're going to the bahamas for 7 days! we really couldn't take anymore time from work and it would have been way to expensive!

Re: How Long is your Honeymoon?
Well, the wedding is on the first of September. We will already be in the Bahamas, and staying there until about the 4th I think, then And will get back home either the 15th or 16th. So the actual honeymoon will be 10 or 11 nights, but we start with a few nights in the Bahamas.

I think its plenty. We fly out on Monday and fly home Sunday. My main concern is returning to work that next Monday

We're going for 12 days, but we're going all the way to Hawaii. I would have planned a longer trip if I could have gotten the extra time off. If you think that you can afford to take the vacation then I definitely think that you should extend it. When is the next time that you'll be able to take such a long vacation?

We are going for a 12 day cruise. I cant wait. But when my Fh and I went to Aruba for our first time 2 years ago we went for 10 days and we could of stayed for 10 more. For such a small island we loved it cant wait to go back. Good Luck.

Re: How Long is your Honeymoon?
Our honeymoon is 12 nights. We wanted to do 2 weeks exactly but we decided that we wanted the day after the wedding to rest and we wanted to have a few days to rest when we got home before we had to go to work.

That's a perfect amount of time. We have been to Aruba twice last year and 7 days was perfect. Here is some additional info for you about Aruba if you want it. I find the island the cleanest, safest, and friendliest. The water is amazing. Make sure you bring sun block because the sun is intense but you don't realize it due to the breeze. Aruba is broken down by the high rise and low rise section. As far as things to do, there are tons. I would do activities through DePalm tours. I would go SNUBA diving (AWESOME), DePalm Island (half a day), Natural Pool, and ATV renting. They have the lighthouse which is nice too. Most of the island you will see through one of the tours you do. They also have sunset cruises and party cruises. At night, there is not much but you are so exhausted so it does not matter. I would use DePalm tours for all your activity planning. They were great and work with all the hotels. Your conciege at the hotel will have all the info at the front desk, and even book the tours for you. They have CASIONOS (go to the ones in the high rise). We like the RADISON. There is also the HUGEST shopping mall across the street from the Renissance hotel. They have everything there, don't miss it. Also, it is a good place to get souveneirs. You can bargain with the vendors to get your pricing down. There is a mini mall across from the Hyatt. It is nice and has resturants throught the strip. Don't worry about carrying American Dollars on you because they take them without a problem. Most places are shown in American & Dutch dollars. No travlers check needed. We prefer to use our credit cards, it is easier for us. There are bars to go to but check the cruise schedules because that’s when those places are busy. They have the infamous Carlos & Charlies, Harley Davidson Bar, Iguana Joe's, and Sopranos Lounge. The food is awesome (a reason why we didn't do all inclusive). I would go to El Gaucho, Madame Janette’s (our favorite, its romantic), Amazonia, Flying Fishbone, Aqua Grill, Chalet Suisse, and L.G. Smiths. It is a wonderful place. I think it is the best island. If you go, Enjoy the beaches. If you have any other question FM me.
