let's say it was only four hours, and you wanted an adiditional hour, do you have to pay an additional fee? if so, can I ask how much?

yes, you definitely have to pay more. as far as i know, a viennese hour is the only way to do it, but i could be wrong. that's basically an extra dessert hour with more elaborate desserts. i'm not doing it, so i don't know how much it is, but if you post a question, how much is your viennese hour, i'm sure a bunch of girls will answer. also, remember that your band or dj will charge overtime for that extra hour, too.

Mine is 5 hours. Normally at my hall it is 4 hours, but the banquet manager threw in an extra hour for free with our package.

Re: how long is your reception going to be?
Ours was 5 hours plus the hour for the cocktail hour. so 6 total.
It was an extra hour b/c of the viensse but you can add just an extra hour without having the vienesse. I think my hall charged a few dollars per head.
But that also means paying your DJ for their extra time and the photo and video if you want them to stay, so just keep that in mind - an hour can add up quickly!!

Well in my case, I'm only getting three hours at the restaurant I'm interested on. So I wanted to add an extra hour. Do you know like around how much extra?

everyplace is different. My hall wanted $2 or $3 extra per person. I am SURE you can negotiate them into giving you more time
