Just curious as to how long everyone's train is...I don't have a dress yet, so I can't answer, but I'm leaning more towards a sweep, maybe a court if i can't get the sweep.

I think they are hard to find --- the two dresses I am leaning towards are I believe semi-cathedral -- they are LONG and I love it.
PS -- where did you get your new avatar pic? I love the look of the headband.

Yeah I know, me too! I like it because it's like a tiara but less princess-y because it lies flat on your head...there's more where this one came from
you're gonna have to browse a little bit, but I have a few more pics of similar headpieces from the same place... want me to post them 4 u?
Thanks! If you want to post that would be great!

Re: How long is your wedding dress train?
07 crasher- word of advice-I had a cathedral train and I seriously was stepping on it all night long. I hated it. I did not think about dancing and I was stepping on it all night especially all you greek girls everyone will be stepping on your gown which will ruin some of the ribbons on the bustle. My bustle held up all night but I did have a couple of ribbons break. Seriously consider cutting or detaching your bustle because if I could do it all over again I would definitely not have such a long train.

I'm confused... isnt a bustle supposed to shorten your dress so it doesnt drag on the floor? what does a long bustle mean?
My dress has a pretty short train, although we are extending it by 12' -- definitely not as long as the dresses pictured. I voted for a 'sweep' train although I'm not sure what that means

Re: How long is your wedding dress train?
I meant train sorry. I had over 90 ribbons to tie for my bustle and some broke off because when we did our first greek dance my mother stepped on my bustle dancing and it broke some of the ribbons and even thought I still had the french bustle it was dragging on the floor.

Thanks for the advice...now I can try to explain to my (Greek) mom why i shouldn't have a long train...she jsut doesn't understand the concept of not wanting one just because.
