How long should the runner be? I'm getting married in a Catholic church and have no idea how long the aisle is, but where exactly does the runner start and end? Does it start at the last pew and go up to the alter steps? TIA!

Re: How long should.........?
I would check with your church first if you are allowed to have a runner - a lot of churches are saying no because it is a liabilty issue - a lot of people trip on runners

I asked how long the aisle is... the runner should go from the end of the aisle to the beginning.. not up on the altar though. Ours will stop right at the first pew....

If you have an extra long aisle like I did just ask them to bring 2. We did that and it was perfect. Don't worry too much about tripping. You're walking pretty slow (or at least you should be!!)

yeah, my limo company handled it, I didn't know /care how lognit was or wher eit started, etc. From, pictures, I can tell you it went allteh way up to the alter, but not onit. I think it went past the last pew, out the door almsot into the lobby.

You can call your church--mine told me how long it was and most limo companies have the standard size runner.

Our church gave us the info on how long the aisle is in our booklet - also the limo company knew the church and knew they needed the extra long one and brought it.
