how long should a 9 month old puppy be able to go without going potty
??? Boomer went in his cage AGAIN this morning. He was whining at 7:17am and we walked them at 10:20 last night.

Bama is 9 months and can go about 8 hrs in the crate. Can you put Boomer to bed later than 10:20? This is what DH does - he puts Bama in his crate at like 1am (or later) because he's up that late anyway.

Casey is 9 months and can go about 8 or 9 hours without being let out of the crate (at night or while we are at work).,
Maybe Boomer is just adjusting to being in a new home?

Gizmo is now 13 years old and wakes me up every morning/night around 2-3-4AM to go out At least he wakes me up, rather than him go in the house.

Gabe's trainer said for puppies it's about an hour for every month they are old

Our dog has an iron bladder. She is not yet 8 months old and she can hold it for 13 hours! I am amazed! She is home while we are at work for about 10 hours, then when we get home she is so excited she wont go out to go pee, then she wants to eat, then she wants to play, so we are home about 1-2 hours before she will actually calm down enough to go!
Every dog is different though! My 13 year old dalmatian wakes my dad up every day at 5 am!
