how long was it, before you got responses???

I mailed invites the second to last week of July. The RSVP is not until Sept 5th, but we've only gotten a few response? Is that normal?

How many people did you invite? I got a lot in the beginning and then it drifted off for a while, and then a lot again at the end.

we sent out about 70 invites (e-party)

We mailed our invites on a Satuday and started getting response the following Wednesday. I agree, you're going to get a lot in the beginning, then they dwindle down.

we got responses very slowly

get this, i just got a response this morning. HELLO the day before my party you are finally responding.

UH!! Some people have NO respect.

Dont worry some people see the RSVP date is Sept 5 and think they have so much time.

My sister mailed her out on Sat of last week and already she has recieved back 21 responses... she looks forward to the mail each day to see which ones come back.

Is it mostly family invited? I received all friends and family friends quickly (within first 2 weeks), family tend to assume you know they're coming.
