How many florists did you guys look at before you booked? I've only been to one so far...and I'm ready to book them. I went to Burtons and I think they gave me a great price and Jill was really nice.
I was supposed to meet with Flower Designs by Rose tonight...but I decided (after my mom freaked out--for a good reason) That having my florist come from Queens..or brooklyn or wherever it is might not be the greatest idea when my wedding is in Eastern Nassau Cty. So, I cancelled.
My mother keeps telling me to look into The Little Flower Shoppe in Lindenhurst, but I've never seen a review about them or heard of them do a wedding.
I was also considering going to Towers Flowers on 231 in North Babylon.
Anyone have any advice, comments, suggestions, or reccomendations?
(PS--I emailed Flower Michele and never got a response, they are also a bit far so I'm really not considering them.)

Re: How Many....
I met with 4 - including Designs by Rose...they do beautiful work, and are completely reliable.
I had a ceremony in Bklyn, and ended up using a Long Island Florist....had no problems what-so-ever.
I would recm'd seeing Rose & Doris - they have amazing prices!

Re: How Many....
I met with Signature and Towers Flowers in West Islip. For the same things, Towers came in about 125 cheaper. I think using a local florist will just get you a lower price. I'm going with Towers.

Re: How Many....
14. I'm very picky!
Seriously though, I was adamant about seeing a sample before I booked, and not every florist is willing to do that. I wanted someone that made me feel like I was the only bride in the world (even though I might be one of 5 weddings being handled that weekend), who was enthusiastic and demonstrated (IMO) a love for their job. Then of course was price and who could or couldn't work with my budget.
IMHO, I found everything I was looking for when I booked Nancy at Open House Country - it just took me a while to find her!
