Re: How many
Are you sure? You see, there were some things I liked in each store. I didn't register for the same 'type' of thing in each store - each registry has a different category of stuff. Just didn't want to seem greedy or rude.

Re: How many
I would not worry about it. I did Macys and Linnens and Things (I would not recommend anyone to book there....long story for another post ) and I also registered at Pfaltzgraff in Riverhead and Bellport Outlets.

Re: How many
We have registered at 5 places. Many people suggested registering at fewer, but for us this strategy (registering at fewer places) didn't make sense, for at least two reasons:
1. Not all stores are in all places. Many of our guests live on LI, so Fortunoff, e.g., works for them. But for guests living in places like Texas, upstate NY, California, we needed other stores.
2. We like things from different stores! Given that we don't only buy stuff for the home from one or two stores, we figured we should register for what we really want, and that meant going to different stores.

Re: How many
Me too - I just liked things from different stores - didn't like everything all in one store!
I just don't want guests to think I'm rude or greedy, that's all...

Re: How many
3- BBB, Fortunoff, and Target We have a lot of out of towners so some people may not live near a BBB (and Fortunoff obviously) and not have internet.... Target is EVERYWHERE. And i registered for different things in different places Fortunoff- mainly dishes BBB- Appliances and gadgets. Home furnishings (lamps and deco) Target- some other appliances and rubbermaid/tupperware type stuff. (i'm upset they don't have tupperware in the Westbury store anymore... that was the main reason we registered there!!!)

Re: How many
3 for e-party (fortunoff, MAcys, Bed, Bath & Beyond)
I figured for e-party people don't ask as much, and they are the 'usual' places, so maybe they will look there on their own.

Re: How many
Target & Williams Sonoma. Target is indeed everywhere and everyone I know, love or call friend is out of state. But what's really cool is they have decent prices. I don't feel bad for asking for nearly 100 items (hehe) Most of it is kitchen related from cheese grater, towels & tea pot to knives, rolling pin and a Kitchen Aide. Bath towels & bedding too. But FH snuck in a CD stand, TV stand and TV!!!!
Williams Sonoma is just so cool. I love the stuff in there, but it's a little pricy so I went shorter on that list.
