I want to have my hair 1/2 up & down, but the styles that I like are mostly shown w/out the veil. How important is the veil, and have any of you not worn a veil? I definately want it for the ceremony & maybe for part of the reception like when we are introduced. What's your thoughts on this ladies????

Re: How many are not wearing their veil all night?
Im also wearing my hair half up and half down. I will waer my veil for the ceremony and until the first dance. Then I am taking it off, its just a personal preferance and I dont want it to bother me while I am dancing.

I had all intentions to take it off for the reception but I left it on. I'm glad I did because it's on in all of my candid pictures and it looks great.
However, when people started saying good-bye they would hug me and tug at it, I then ripped it off. It sat under my updo so it was easy to take off.

I'll most likely take it off after the ceremony. I can just see it being annoying all night.

I haven't decided yet. I love the back of my dress, and the veil will hide it.

I'm taking it off after pictures. I was considering after the first dance but I'm not sure, but it's definitely coming off.

Re: How many are not wearing their veil all night?
Thanks for all of the replies. What style do you think would be the best for removing it after the ceremony? Under the top of the updo? I just don't know how it works if I want my hair down in the back. Do I just tell the girl that's doing my hair to arrange it in a place so I can later take the comb out easily? I'm such an idiot when it comes to this stuff...

I may leave it on depending on how it feels. I dont have one yet so ifit is along one then no. I do think it will look nice to have one on though???

I am also wearing my hair 1/2 up, 1/2 down. I will wear my veil at the Church and for pictures after the Church, and then I will take it off. Mine will come off before the reception.

I am taking mine off, only leaving the crown on. I feel like it is going to be in my way.

At first I thought that I wouldn't but now the more I see the ladies on here w/ the veils on for the entire ceremony I think I may leave it on all night... Hey you only wear it once right?

I'm not wearing my veil the whole night. I'll be also changing into 2 other dresses as well. One will be something that'll be more comfortable to dance in and the last one would be a traditional Chinese Red dress!!! I can't wait....

I think I'm going to have a cathedral length veil so I might not wear it all night, unless I figure out a way to bustle it....lol XOXOXO Kitty
